Words feed themselves
VASSALLO
ALFRED
POET
THE TRIVIALITY OF YOUTHS
In the absence of vernal morality
The shortage of respect is in jeopardy
Nobody cares anymore so the youngsters
Their inadequacy to honour the elders is obvious.
Their mind is at a loss filled with frivolity
The heart lacks love
The eyes forbid to see poverty
The nose failed the smell of the awful bigotry.
There’s a scarcity of respectful words in their mouth,
The ears have a deficiency to hear and listen to the truth.
They have no shortcomings in their sexual lives,
No shortfall of how to entertain their nights;
Alcohol and drug abuse are rife,
Consequently causes the depletion of honest living.
In the absence of vernal morality,
I started to hate the presence of humanity.
